I'll be frank (only if you be earnest), I don't mind being a part of this "moment" if the end is that it's all a party prank, an election tactic to keep the House and Senate. He can rhetorically throw me under any damned thing he chooses as long as at the end of the day he works for what we all believe in--even if this means incrementally.

To make this short, I'm going to be his Sista Soulja and read the administration's word (meaning Gibbs' words) charitably.

To quote Sister Sledge:
We are family,
I got all my sisters and me . . .

But that's a mighty big damn if right in the middle of it. I think something like that may be going on, but it is a dangerous game with not much of a potential payoff. Who does it actually appeal to? Not the Far Right. Maybe the mythical Independent Voter, but most of them would be better labelled Apathetic Voters, and are low-information types whom this kind of story passes by without being even momentarily noticed.
