i love chicago, and here is one example of why. i just finished listening to nearly an hour with mike gravel. i think i will listen to ron paul now. jerome mc donnell tells the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, 5 days a week, for an hour, with no commercials. he takes on every single taboo news topic, and has a cast of regulars that include a weekly visit from his human rights correspondent. wbez has had an hour of international news at noon for 20+ years. first it was late great sandra gair, then her producer, jerome took over.
they recently started replaying this show in the evenings. :woohoo: but you can listen, any time.

i loved sandra gair, which was way back. when she died, they left the whole hour silent. i think i cried the whole hour. i was home raising kids, with not much adult contact. so, she was the voice of the grown-up world. jerome has done a great job of filling her shoes.
