Glenn Beck does not oppose gay marriage
I swear the worlds going crazy....

http://mediamatters.org/mmtv/201008110048

O'REILLY: OK. Is it going to harm the country in any way?

BECK: I believe -- I believe what Thomas Jefferson said. If it neither breaks my leg nor picks my pocket, what difference is it to me?

O'REILLY: OK, so you don't. That's interesting. Because I don't think a lot of people understand that about you.

BECK: As long as we -- as long as we are not going down the road of Canada, where it now is a problem for churches to have free speech. If they can still say, hey, we --

O'REILLY: Oppose it --

BECK: -- we oppose it --

O'REILLY: Right.

BECK: -- but we're not trying to kill anybody or trying to --

2. So, you don't welcome the gathering consensus Left, sensible Right, & Center that Marriage equality
is a Civil Right, worthy of society-wide recognition?

Curious, that.

3. Wow. I don't know if my mouth is big enough for the words you just shoved in it
I point out that I think Beck is trying to pretend he's been on the right side all along, and you pull that shit.

There's plenty on the internet for you to announce your outrage about, you don't need to go making shit up.

5. When has Beck spoken against gay marriage?
Curious if we actually have a flip or a case of Beck's slight libertarian social streak being right for once.

11. he has spoken out against gay marriage.
He has no problem with civil unions and believes marriage is a religious right. In the OP's vid above he does state this. The vid below he clarifies his stance on Gay Marriage in 2009.

8. Beck is FAR from sensible Right. He is tin-foil-helmet Right.
Edited on Thu Aug-12-10 10:56 AM by Erose999

Even though he is correct to support Gay Marriage he is fundamentally wrong in just about every other facet of his worldview.

His endorsement lends us no credibility, in other words.

12. except he doesn't promote marriage equality.

he promotes civil unions. Listen closely to the vid in the op and you will hear him state marriage is a religious right.
see my post above and below for a link on his support of civil unions not marriage equality.
so it is not a gathering consensus just a push for separate but not equal.

9. The world is not going crazy, he doesn't support gay marriage.
Edited on Thu Aug-12-10 11:31 AM by unapatriciated
If you watched the vid at your link closely you would hear his statement regarding marriage as a religious right. He has no problem with a separate but not equal civil union. He doesn't believe government should be involved.
He is just playing a word game with O'Riely. They are both narcissists with their self important views on this subject.
Here is his statement of 2009 and his conspiracy theory gay marriage.

16. I wish that President Obama would come around to Glenn Beck's way of thinking.
I really never thought I would be able to say those words. It's pretty sad that Obama's stance on gay rights is so disgraceful.
