Washington -- A man suspected in a series of stabbings in Virginia, Michigan and Ohio was arrested at the Atlanta airport as he tried to board a plane bound for Israel.

A spokesman for U.S. Customs and Border Protection says the agency's officers arrested the man about 10 p.m. Wednesday night at Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, as he attempted to board a Delta flight for Tel Aviv. The suspect was handed over to the FBI and Atlanta police

3. Media racism isn't the story here.

Cop shops, never lavishly funded, have been slashed to the bone and beyond, especially in depressed areas like Michigan. It's taking them longer to put stuff like this together, to go from a serial killer in one town to a serial killer with a larger territory.

They also don't want to go public with the information they have, especially the physical description, because they don't want the bastard to change his appearance or methods to throw them off his trail.

Yes, racism plays a massive part in how much attention any story gets, but it's often not the whole story.

4. Read the local Michigan Media on this story and you'll see it is getting top coverage.

I really wouldn't take an OP ED piece from people who don't live in one of the affected areas over a good search of the Detroit Free Press' sites.
