The Unemployed/Underemployed Could Use Some Good News For A Change....

NC's official unemployment numbers have remained above 10% for an extended period of time, and the real number of unemployed is far higher if you include those who have 'given up on finding a job' and no longer are qualified to receive unemployment compensation. Add to those numbers the 'underemployed' who are working for substantially reduced compensation and no benefits.

It would help if the next announcement was hiring here, rather than notice that jobs will be moved overseas.

And don't forget that the mental health of all these unemployed, and their families and dependents, depend upon there being some hope that things will get better. Once people lose hope... depression inevitably follows, and mental health assistance resources are already insufficient to meet the present demands.
