It was called "I Remember You".

It was a collage of the Carter years, featuring photos of gas lines, hostage crisis, malaise, etc. while the 1940's song "I Remember You" was playing in the background.

Dukakis's 17-point lead evaporated during that August and this ad played a big part in it.

We need our own "I Remember You" ad.... one that features a collage of events from Bush's presidency and the GOP-led congress's actions from 1995-2007.

War, 9/11, surpluses-turned-to-deficits, stock market crash, bailouts, destruction of the 4th amendment, etc, etc, etc.

Black and white photos... newspaper headlines.... all while the song "I Remember You" plays in the background.

The GOP is horrible at governing.... but they sure know how to make scathing political ads and drive the national conversation. Obama's "no, you can't have the keys back" is a good start. But we need a scathing ad... reminding Americans just what GOP rule was like... airing all over TV during the next two months.

3. That's a great idea. Send it to the DNC!
Bush failed to protect America from terrorists.

Bush outed covert CIA agents during a time of war.

Bush appointed cronies to positions they weren't qualified for, endangering American citizens.

Bush allowed gas prices to go through the roof, and it wasn't because of supply and demand.

The list goes on and on. People need to remember what Bush/GOP did that allowed this devastation to happen. People need to be reminded that the Democrats are not responsible for the mess, they're just trying to clean it up, and the Republicans are fighting them all the way, and have no ideas on how to make things better.

6. Great Idea
Great Idea! I think that our Democratic so-called "leadership" ought to show more grit and guts and run such an ad this campaign season.

Too bad that they'd wimp out if they had the opportunity.
