This is finally the line.....

If I were to go around posting "When you are finished being gay by choice...." I would not only be BLASTED OUT OF EXISTENCE, but it would be erased immediately.

I certainly wouldn't be receiving polite refutations.

I made a specific request to you... a very reasonable one.

It was ignored.

and I expressed it in my way. I'm sorry my way is not your way nor is it good enough for you. You can't claim to know how I would respond to anything; you aren't me, Bobbie.

As for the second part of your request, I did that.

Being NICE isn't ever going to end anything. I will say it again... If I were to post on DU "When you are finished being gay..." I would be blasted, and I would probably be banned. (And rightly so.) But the same thing is said about me and others, and it just gets POLITE, which will be laughed at.

You never responded to me about the other, never acknowledged the hurt that is caused, and SILENCE means acquiescence.

When all of you are willing to come together and make the same thing true of these kinds of ugly prejudicial attacks that I get all the time, then things will change, and that is exactly what he is talking about in that video.

Until then, it will continue.

Finally, the time comes when suffering people get enraged, and it is going to expode. Then, you can't unexplode it.

I will say that I didn't respond to you personally today because you specifically asked me several months ago to never interact with you again.

I was honoring your wish.

I accept that I will never, ever live up to your expectations. I harbor no ill feelings toward you whatsoever. Just the opposite, I genuinely wish you well and do acknowledge your pain, though I know you don't believe that.

MANY PEOPLE ARE SUFFERING, MANY PEOPLE ARE ENRAGED...WE ALL EXPRESS IT DIFFERENTLY. Many of us ARE doing things others here at DU aren't aware of to try to CHANGE things, in our own way. I'm trying not to make assumptions about fairly anonymous human beings on a message board, and it's not my way to attack.

This is nonsense and excuses. There is no concern for the pain that it causes. None. Just defenses. And. Allows. It. To. Coninue.

You said very negative things about me and wouldn't stop. Of course I withdrew from that. You want it public, you got it. I have been very clear about what I need. ON another thread, (and in that video), poor people make it clear that THEY/WE know what we need, and don't need others to try to "fix" us. You wouldn't back off that. THAT is why I withdrew and gave up.

You are now saying you won't take on the issue in terms of demanding that prejudice stop. Fine, I will remember that, and not ever again ask you to do that.

I'm sorry you perceived anything I did as ever being negative toward you or trying to fix you or anything of that sort. Never my intention.

When you cause pain, the grownup thing to do is to acknowledge it.

Nothing I ever said or did was with the intent of causing pain or suffering; just the opposite, I took great care to avoid that, as I never want to cause others pain, but I obviously failed miserably.

I apologize for any pain I have caused you, Bobbie.

Too bad that conversation couldn't have happened long ago.

I have nothing more, either, except to let you know that I am speaking out even more now because I have been caught up in the disability purge, along with gawd knows how many other thousands of people. As the saying goes, "There is nobdy as dangerous as someone who has nothing left to lose."

I simply no longer care.

I can't care.... there is nothing left.

Until the prejudice is confronted headone and dealt with headon, others will suffer the same things that I do. And that pain is destructive.
