4. Chucks are crappy, may as well put a strip of duck tape on your sole
That shoe is all hat and no cattle.

Vans are a different matter, you can walk somewhere in those.

5. That's part of the nostalgic allure - all my Chucks ended up wrapped in
duck tape before they finally died. But, they were cheap enough that they could be used and abused and replaced as needed...
