Restoring Honor

The restoration of honor is central to RW thinking.

It is a primitive concept—the rationale for duels and vendettas.

It is also a loser's concept. Winner's don't give fuck-all about restoring honor.

Modern RW thinking is all about being a loser. They glory in their martyrdom. They are the Confederacy... magnificent in defeat. A few men with honor holding back the forces of... MODERNITY

Modern conservatism is a rear-guard action against everything from the French revolution to Hip-Hop. It is predicated on having lost and being in the minority. (Paranoia is not a good fit for majoritarianism.)

It is often said that the RW always fucks up governance because at heart they oppose government. That is not really correct. Believe me on this... fascists revere government. Seriously.

The RW dysfunction in power is much deeper than a supposed view of government. It is due to the necessary view that the RW is in the minority and will lose and that there is glory in losing.

That's why they love the Alamo. The RW is ALWAYS ultimately a suicide cult. Apocalyptic and without practical hope.
