I can't imagine a Congress with such large Democratic majorities doing that. They can easily extend the rest of the tax cuts without 60 votes--if anything is fair game for reconciliation, this is. I imagine Brown (MA) or either of the Maine senators voting with the Democrats too.
for those making under $250K, nor one that would extend the Dubya cuts for a year or two will make it. We will end up with a simple expiration of the Bush cuts, and that's not the worse thing that could happen to us.
9. Hard to tell, isn't it. And that's the problem.
We need decisive action to prevent a catastrophe but we're left holding our breath just hoping he'll do the right thing but not knowing if he will. Somehow I don't think that's what he meant by "Hope" in his campaign.
