You know.. considering the beating Obama has taken by the RW media...

...and the LW media, for that matter....

The fact that his gallup poll numbers are 47% approve/45% disapprove is astounding.

To be at 47%... in this economy... with the bashing he's taken from the right and the left... is a very encouraging sign.

When Shrub started getting bashed, he went down into the 30% range.

In 1994 at this point, Clinton was in the low 40s.

In 1982 at this point, Reagan was in the low 40s.

Obama's approval rating has defied political gravity somewhat.

"Defying political gravity" is something you either are, or are not, doing. Defying gravity somewhat means falling more slowly than usual, because gravity's still in effect.

he could have changed the world by doing a 180 from the policies of the Bush era, yet he's continued many of them. Also, most of the people out there are about 10 times less informed on what's really going on in the Obama admin than we are. I'm not happy with him at all, and it has nothing to do with media, it has to do with his actions - and lack of actions. But hey, I guess that's what I get for paying attention and giving a shit and wanting something better than a right-wing Democrat as president. Oh well. He'll win again in 2012 purely cause the Republicans are bat-shit crazy. Wow. What a victory that will be. Something to really be proud of. :eyes:
