Why would someone spend $50 Million of their own money for

a job that pays under $200K? I just don't get it. Is the combination of boredom, lust for power, and an oversize ego that great? And no, I don't buy the "for the public good" reason. If that were true these people would not have treated their own employees with so little regard. Maybe power is the great aphrodisiac.

She has already spent nearly $100 million since the primaries in CA. I heard on NPR she is bidding to be the first female President. She is trying to buy a place in the history books.

I guess she figures she can't take it with her when she dies but she sure as hell can force us to not forget her!

50 mil is a drop in the bucket for wealth addicts like Chainsaw Carly and Nutmeg Whitless. They'll still be rich after all is said and done. It's how efficiently the backs get scratched that matters.

built around the premise "what's good for me". I can't imagine, at this stage, that they believe that if they spend $100 Million they would get a larger return in the senate.
It's got to be pure ego.
