We would have a far better country if the National Origins Quota of 1924 and Immigration Act of 1917
had never been put in place. These two racist laws changed the America that could have been. Actually they killed the America that could have been. An America with no dominate race or ethnicity. An America with six or five major languages. People like to talk about what America is to the world, we could have been so much more to the world.
