Could someone explain the difference...
between a "progressive" and a "liberal", if there is a difference.

This is what I believe (quick overview)

1. I want single payer health care.

2. Marriage for all.

3. I'd love to see education through college for everyone! I believe there was a time when state colleges were very inexpensive for in state students. I would like to see that again.

4. I support unions.

This is a quick overview of some of the things I believe. I consider myself left of center/liberal.

Thoughts?

I know it takes time and hard work. I also know sometimes there has to be some kind of compromise. And I've always thought of myself as a liberal.

Maybe there is no difference, maybe the beliefs are the same, what makes the difference, is the road taken to get there? :shrug:

Progressive: "I DEMAND single payer healthcare, marriage equality, free public education, and strong unions. I don't give a DAMN whether or not it's "too much trouble". It needs to happen. Now."

Of course, that's just MY personal definition.

You're drawing lines where there should be none. Maybe there are a few huge ones that define only Republicans. But to try to have lock step belief categories for progressives/liberals ain't gonna fly.

14. I'm sorry if you thought...
my intentions were to 'draw lines', it was not. I've seen both terms used, sometimes it seems, they're two different things. I don't believe in "lock step" we're all different with different opinions. Unlike the Republicans who seem to share one mind.

I only used what I thought/believed as an example. Didn't mean to offend.
