Freepers weigh in on Qur’an burning -- yep, it's about as bad as you would expect
Even among Freepers, there are some who don't think holding a Qur’an bonfire is a cool thing to do. But most of them are very enthusiastic about the idea. Many of those who were "opposed" were mainly concerned about where the money would go if they purchased a Qur’an:

Sample responses:

Being someone who appreciates art, I like the idea of displaying it submerged in a big jar of piss with strips of bacon.

-----------------

I will pee on it first and when it dries burn it. I know how vulgar that soundds but I don’t care...I plan to post it on You Tube so muzzies know exactly how much contempt I have for their gutter religion.

-----------------

Sounds like a plan. I was planning to do ribs this weekend.

Where can I get my hands on one?

------------------

I am, and I am going to get as many free copies that I can get and experiment with different ways of creating art, I have one idea of encasing one in resin with an unborn piglet.

Its art fer christ sake, I may become rich selling Koran art!

-------------------

Where can one acquire one; the book rack at the Greyhound depot, maybe?

--------------------

According to an add I heard on the Kansas version (KCMO) of the Rush Limbaugh show, you can request one free from the local Mosque. I shall not burn my copy, but instead am sending it for a long trip down from a 100th floor room to the street below. If it survives the fall I may have to burn it to put it out of its misery

--------------------

Nah, it’s a waste of perfectly good toilet paper.

--------------------

Sure. I’ll light one up and chow a hotdog. I have no respect for the government called Islam.

---------------------

How about a 50 uses for the Koran thread. Bird cage liner? Charcoal chimney fuel?

----------------------

We really need to work on stopping immigration from the third world. How can bringing the needy from poor countries possibly help? Especialy the way jobs are now. Especially people from a drastically different religion. How about America first for a change? Possibility there or not?

----------------------

I don’t own any, and so will not spend a hard earned dime to purchase one.

I might print out a cover on my color printer and then burn that.

5. Are you kidding? Freeperville IS a South Park episode.
What with the stupid fucking positions taken on South Park, I wouldn't doubt if Trey Parker and Matt Stone were registered FR users.

2. I have an idea: let's find a way to hack into RimJob's client list on FR
and turn it over to some radical muslims.

I understand why you'd say that
But I detest radical Islamists a lot more than I detest Freepers.

11. Freepers are, for the most part, to be pitied
Edited on Thu Sep-09-10 07:45 PM by LuckyTheDog
They are fearful, uneducated people reacting to a world that frightens them. They are also - for better or worse - our fellow Americans. In some cases, they are our relatives and co-workers. I don't want to defend the Freepers. But... most of them would never put on a suicide vest or fly a plane into a building full of innocent people. Just sayin'.

15. Funny you should say that.
Somebody just told me that Phelps has decided to hold the bookburning now that Jones has stepped down. I wonder if that's true.

work to ride to soldiers' funerals to protect the family against Phelps. The fundie movement is turning them off.

Some have registered Independent. They claim they are conservatives, but when pinned down on specific, they really lean left. Rupert Roo-wanda has really done a job on branding the Democrats as evil.

That is why I tell everyone that Rupert Roo-wanda, and his buddy, Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, are pimping this story world-wide in all News Corps' publications, radio and satellite. I believe one branding deserves another.

8. *shakes head*
...they are about an inch away from rounding Muslims up and putting them into camps....and given the arrogant attitude they exhibit, that they are all terrorists and deserve to die...I would suppose they would have no problem for a "final solution"...only probably call it "permanent deislamification" or some other term that seems platonic to assuage any conscience.

9. Somebody makes the clever observation
that such comments should be suppressed because they will undoubtedly be published elsewhere as proof of the FReeper's bullshit narrow-mindedness. Ya think?

Maybe we should take up a collection, buy a used oil rig off of Gulf coast, and sell them a parcel of land on it, Call it WATERWORLD, and it can be a place where they can retire and thumb their noses at the rest if the world.
