Rush Limbaugh and Terry Jones were high school classmates
Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh and the Florida pastor who threatened (is threatening?) to burn Korans, Terry Jones, were high school classmates.

Politics Daily reports that the two attended Cape Central High School in Cape Girardeau, Mo. According to the school's Web site:

Rush Limbaugh USED to be Cape Girardeau's most prominent export. One of his classmates from the Central High School Class of 1969 is dominating the news right now: Terry Jones, the Gainesville, FL, preacher who is threatening to hold an "International Burn a Koran Day" on September 11.

4. Damn. I'd want it kept a deep, dark secret, not run up a flagpole.
But such is the way of the world these days. If it bleeds, it leads. If it shocks, it sells.

10. Sooo...Limpballs was in Highschool from 65 to 69,
Hummm,Right during the Peak of the "Hippie Daze"...And knowing that not all "Hippies" were "Peaceniks" this might explain why he hates Liberals....Sounds like a deep seated resentment for getting his ass handed to him by some longhairs back in the day!

I can just picture some "Freak" that resembles Freewheelin Franklin Kicking Limpballs ass clean across the Schoolyard!

13. Hmmm, wonder why Rush didn't mention this before?
I'm sure my HS class was much bigger than his, and I remember 95% of my classmates.

Then again, I'm not a junkie like Rush.

15. So how can this relationship be exploited?
I mean afterall Rush has managed to tar and feather anyone that has any association no matter how insignificant it might have been.

What? Yep, I said it and am not sorry about saying it.

They don't like it when their own tactics are used against them.

16. Exactly! We need to get into the "guilt by association" business!
I think that will work wonders keeping our party on message. :sarcasm:

They'd LOVE it if we used their tactics on them, because we're in power, and as long as we're talking about who knew each other from a summer camp in 1973, we're not talking about fixing all the shit they broke.

17. Trust me I know what the priorities are
Using their own tactics on them is not because we are in power but it is to prove to them how stupid and destructive their antics really are.

If a child does something that causes him or her a bad consequence that child will not do it again. Rush is a child and should be treated like one.

18. I would teach a child better, because I would hope the best for them.
I wouldn't teach a conservative better. Either convert them or let them wallow in their ignorance. I have no desire to see them learn more effective ways to communicate their "message".

And using their tactics against them is fair play.

22. Now I found high school terrifying as it was without any evil characters in it but I couldn't
imagine how scary it would have been to be in that class!
