Yes, they're very highly paid entertainers. But the fact is, they're also union members. Good for them.

but then again I don't usually discuss sports in GD. :)

What is going on is the owners want back some of the player's money and they are claiming they're losing money but not opening up it's financial documents. I also believe another point of conflict is the owners want an 18-game schedule and the players don't. Not sure about that though.

The NFL has long had the weakest union in sports. The way retired players are treated is pathetic.

5. Interesting, I hadn't heard about this
(that's not surprising, since I live a mile away from the Cowboys stadium and didn't realize there was a game tonight until I ran into traffic).

There's a lot of traffic and the Rangers are playing the Yankees tonight too at the Ballpark.
