George W. Bush: "The Worst of Humankind"

On September 17, 2001, George W. Bush addressed the Islamic Center of Washington DC.
Excerpts from that speech:

"These acts of violence against innocents violate the fundamental tenets of the Islamic faith. And it's important for my fellow Americans to understand that.

Let me quote from the Koran, itself: In the long run, evil in the extreme will be the end of those who do evil.
The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. That's not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace.

America counts millions of Muslims amongst our citizens and they need to be treated with respect.
Women who cover their heads in this country must feel comfortable going outside their homes. Moms who wear cover must be not intimidated in America. That's not the America I know. That's not the America I value.

Those who feel like they can intimidate our fellow citizens to take out their anger don't represent the best of America, they represent the worst of humankind, and they should be ashamed of that kind of behavior.

It is my honor to be meeting with leaders who feel just the same way I do. They're outraged, they're sad. They love America just as much as I do.
I want to thank you all for giving me a chance to come by. And may God bless us all."

but it was the right thing to do at the time. And I have to disagree that he was the worst in human history, bad as he was. He has some very stiff competition from Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Idi Amin, and many, many others. As an evil dictator I'd have to say he's pretty bush league (if you'll excuse the pun).

at some point surely, a survival instinct will kick in and all the big tough men fighting for the corporate thieves will see they're being exploited, and it will end very badly no matter how they pretend, so, tentatively, you'll see them start to fight back against fellow big toughs. If anyone has read about the July'44 German generals plot, to blow up hitler, the aftermath, which saw dozens of nazis who had murdered millions, fall victim to gestapo- it's almost embarassing to read...they were literally paralysed with terror, unable to simply shut down telephone echange....some crapped their pants. The movie 'valkyrie' was based loosely upon the plot- so loosely it was a different story. Anyway, the point is that the big toughs are only big toughs when they are part of huge, massively funded machine. Ollie North, for example, who bravely fought peasant farmers and their teenage kids, and who then took on the terrified liberals in US congress, woulda shit hisself if fbi came kicking in his door.

But so deep has the rot spread, to turn away from disaster means turning the most vicious political force in USA against the very men who used it to defraud and demolish the country! To be a liberal/leftist is to stand outside, and watch masses of cockroaches watch another mass of roaches try to infest everything worth anything, and the watching masses need to stop the activist mass of cockroaches, or there be nothing left!
