Bill Clinton Strikes Back at Rachel Maddow
Bill Clinton struck back at Rachel Maddow Monday without even using her name.

While speaking alongside Tony Blair at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, Clinton took exception with comments Maddow made on her program in March.

"One of the leading television commentators on one of our liberal cable channels said I was the best Republican president the country ever produced, which would come quite a surprise to the Republicans, half of whom still think I'm a closet communist," he said, according to Politico.

"What she meant by that was I didn't necessarily follow their 'conventional wisdom,'" he said. "I said, 'What do you mean?!'"

3. I guess Rachel will kick him in the balls tonight.
Hell Billy, she was kind to you compared to how Amy Goodman treated you on the air.

Maybe she meant you were the Rodney Dangerfield of politics.

5. He was certainly the best classic conservative President since Eisenhower...
In an age when the U.S., politically, lunged to the right, that isn't surprising.

But Republican, no. If he had been a Republican he never would have been impeached.

7. Bill
Whatever success you had did not come from things you did, but simply that you did not follow the slash tax policies of the GOP. Granted that was a lot, but it was far from enough, plus your influence has done enough to ruin what potential Obama could have had, you and your damned wife, whose foreign policy might as well make us a colony of Israel.

10. He's touchy when it comes to questioning his policies
But call him a douchebag (like Tom DeLay did IIRC) or call his daughter "homely because her mother is Hillary Clinton and her father is Janet Reno" (John McCain) and he's just peachy with that and gratefully accepts their "apology".

11. I love the NAFTA replies
NAFTA was Poppy Bush's baby.

Most "Progressives" think it's Clinton's.

The GOP Meme Machine worked its magic with that one.

The reason why I used irony quotes around "Progressives" is simple -- Progressives are highly intelligent and perceptive. At least that's what they've told me. And highly intelligent and perceptive people wouldn't make a stupid mistake about that kind of thing -- the sufferings of the working man and all that.

16. Yes, Bush put it on the fast track after he lost the election and signed an agreement
with Canada and Mexico on December 17th, 1992. However, it was Bill Clinton that signed it into law on December 8, 1993; it went into effect on January 1, 1994.

Clinton could have stopped it, but did not.

15. Oh BS. Liberals have been calling him that even before
Rachel came on the scene. He was one of the founders of the DLC and if you go to their website and read what's there, it has Republican Lite stamped all over. Common Bill, you know what your politics are. We know that anyone with D after their name is considered a commie pinko bastard by the right so really Bill, whom are you trying to impress?
