BIG DOG: "STAND UP & FIGHT"- --'Dems have 30 days To Stand Up & Embrace Challenge Or Get Whacked'
Former U.S. President Bill Clinton said his fellow Democrats should stop “mealy mouthing around” and start taking the fight to Republicans in the final weeks before this year’s congressional elections.

“The Democrats ought to stand up and fight,” Clinton said in an interview for Bloomberg Television’s “Political Capital with Al Hunt,” airing this weekend. “The Democrats have 30 days to sort of stand up, embrace the challenge, and offer a worthy alternative,” he said. “If they lay down and let it be a referendum, our side is going to get whacked.”

2. I don't often agree with him and I wish he would have followed his own advice but
He is absolutely 100% correct about this.

The tax cut punt was just about the last straw.

Supreme Court nominee, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff . . . etc., etc. In other words, a chance to put progressives in positions to carry out the reforms that we all expected but didn't really get.

When the Blue Dogs embrace us, we'll do the campaign work that puts them back in office. The deal with the base doesn't just work one way, Bill.

Who's really responsible for getting us whacked, anyway?
