Just got an e-mail from Robin Williams.....re: Barbara Boxer....
Dear Colleen,

I'm a Californian and proud of it. I can't imagine living anywhere else.

And one of the great things about living in California is being able to say that Barbara Boxer is my senator.

Barbara's not afraid to stand up and fight for us on so many important issues -- for jobs, for clean energy, for our environment, for education, for a woman's right to choose.

But that also makes her one of the candidates that the opposition would most like to defeat this year -- and not just because of her hair. It's because Barbara puts the people's interests ahead of the big corporate special interests.

That's why I hope you'll join me in standing up for Barbara Boxer, right now.

Contribute $5 or more to Barbara Boxer's campaign today -- and let's help reach the $500,000 grassroots fundraising goal before September 30!

Fortunately, Barbara Boxer is running strong, but it's a tough race that's going to come down to the wire on Election Day.

The September 30 fundraising deadline is an important opportunity to show the press and pundits the strength of Barbara's support -- and to give her campaign a big boost as we head into the homestretch.

But the deadline is just 36 hours away -- so let's make the most of it.

Join me in contributing $5 or more to Barbara's campaign today -- and let's help reach the $500,000 grassroots fundraising goal before midnight Thursday!

Thanks for your help.

Yours,

Robin Williams

2. Boxer is very important for her consistency.
That's a virtue that's very rare any more.

5. Fortunately here in CA Boxer's supporters are not single-issue.
I disagree with her on Prop 19 but I would never throw her away for it.

6. Sorry, but I don't think there's room for disagreement with regard to fascism.
"Fortunately here in CA Boxer's supporters are not single-issue"

LOL. Betcha you'd be having a fit if she were anti-abortion. :hi:

8. It's precisely the same: the right to do with one's own body what one wishes
"Is your right to smoke pot and get high equivalent in your mind to a woman's right to choose? Got smoke some more, it's making you smarter."

like I said...just a "little" fascism, huh? Somehow I bet you and I disagree on more than a single issue. Also, I find people make comments like your "Got smoke some more" (sic) to mask their own intellectual insecurity. :hi:

9. I think pot should be legal but I wouldn't vote out a strong democratic candidate
because she doesn't. People who stake their vote on one issue and don't look at the totality of the election result are extreme and childish in my opinion.

10. It's before the people, not Congress. An astute politician would've kept her yap shut.

And of course this all happened right before one of her top aids got caught trying to bring pot into a Senate building! :wtf:
