two questions:
1. Why is this ad consistently on that page of this political web site; and
2. Has anyone watched the video?

eta: I like my meat, beef, poultry, fish, liver, eggs, milk, cheese, steak & kidney pie, liverwurst, salami etc....I don't like people trying to get me to stop.

3. It's an ad. Don't look at it, if it offends you.
Ads are the result of someone paying DU for that privilege. The site requires revenues. Unless you want to pay a membership fee, ads are part of life here. Don't look at the ones you don't like.

I love eating meat, and will continue to do so. I've never noticed the ad of which you complain, and even if I had, I wouldn't care.

8. The answer to annoying ads is to stop looking at them.

Then don't do that.




If you think about, such advertising as Palin's makes sense. There are a healthy number of Republicans who read the site. Advertising doesn't have to be aimed at the main demographic of a site.

The only thing I care about the advertising is that DU reap maximum dollars for its ad space.

10. I thought you didn't like it because you don't want to be preached to.
I don't care about being preached to about meat eating, either, so I ignore sources of such lectures.

13. I edited the op and added the meat lovers line
because it occurred to me that some may think I'm some sort of PETA'ish type and was trying to herd (excuse the pun) people toward the ad. I guess I'm a little jumpy at how people tend to read things into a simple question that was never really intended....and look, it still happened lol

9. The best way not to see ads is to use Firefox and add the
extension called AdBlock Plus. I never see ads and I like it that way.

18. It blocks almost everything and is easily switched on or off.

Select the blocking configuration for the USA if that is where you live (I use EasyList English). There are various "filters" to select from. Some helpful instructions: http://adblockplus.org/en/getting_started
