That was depressing.
I went to the government's health insurance plan and looked up my future plan. I thought I was only going to be paying double monthly what I pay now. Boy was I wrong. Its more like quadruple or quintuple to get the maximum out of pocket/deductible I have for the next few months. In effect, if I pay double, I have $15,000 maximum out of pocket costs and $10,000 annual deductible. I'll be paying for insurance that I cannot afford to use.

2. See if your Congressman's office can help you navigate this. Some feedback here would help.

4. I know I'm not alone in this
How many thousands of people can or should my Congressman be expected to help? There are several thousand people employed at my location alone and they're doing this on a corporate multi-state wide level. I have no pre-existing conditions, am not on any medications/prescriptions, and I am abnormally healthy for someone over 50 and the insurance quotes are beyond my ability. If I get the really good deductible/out-of-pocket-costs I currently have, I would be paying only slightly less (about $200 a month less) for health insurance as I would for the roof over my head.

7. because the Health Insurance Reform bill left gaping loopholes
for the industry to take advantage of.

a CEO somewhere is laughing himself all the way to the bank.

8. If your numbers are accurate then the levels of angry non-compliance will FORCE congress to fix or
eliminate this garbage law that they and this week-kneed, fence sitting, triangulating administration have attempted to impose on us.

11. That's why I finally dropped my insurance
instead of paying for insurance that I can never afford to use, I pay for what healthcare I can afford and hope that I'm doing enough in terms of "preventative care" that I won't need much more than that.
