Now this is a breakfast special you'll want to avoid......
Edited on Mon Oct-04-10 11:33 AM by marmar

Anthony Rodriguez has been eating at the Pittsfield Deli for nearly 12 years.

The Chicago jeweler enjoys their food so much he said he ignores the occasional hair that ends up in his breakfast.

Friday he encountered something he couldn’t overlook. A prophylactic.

“When I was half way, I raised my spoon and a piece of egg fell down,” Rodriguez said. “The next thing I saw was a rubber.” ...........(more)

The complete piece is at: http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local-beat/man-finds-prophylactic-in-his-diner-breakfast-in-chicagos-loop-at-pittsfield-cafe-104154344.html

2. Do you think it was in the egg? Maybe the cook doesn't like Mr. Rodriguez.

to cover cut fingers. Bandaids don't stay on and you don't want to bleed on the food

5. That is not a condom
Edited on Mon Oct-04-10 11:37 AM by Kurt_and_Hunter
It is quite obviously too small to be a condom.

Do they make one finger latex covers for prostate exams or something?

On Edit: Post #3 seems to have it figured out.

6. Looks more like something that covers a finger?
I've seen them before on people working in fast food or restaurants, usually just on on finger. Not sure what they're for.

9. That's what they are. Probably one of the workers
had a cut finger (common in kitchens) and his finger cot (that's what they are called) fell off in the food. However, the server should have noticed it before delivering the food and sent it back to the kitchen. It seems like carelessness on the part of both employees.

8. Finger cot.
Edited on Mon Oct-04-10 11:40 AM by JohnnyLib2
Used to stock them, years ago. Could protect an injured finger, etc., while leaving the ability to use the hand.

Kinda ruins a good story, though.

12. They are called finger cots. Alternatives to full gloves for food service and cleanroom work.
