I left the theater numbed, asking myself, "Who the hell can you trust?" A friend wanted to see it so I went along, thinking I knew most of what there was to know about the incident. I didn't.

1. What did your friend think about it? Has your friend been following the story?

2. My friend is woefully uninformed about national or world affairs.
She was stunned, since she had no background story at all. She is a wonderful, kind person, though. She is what she is.

3. What is the Tillman Story?
I am in Spain, and we don't see this film here. Is this the famous American football player who was killed by his own men in Afghanistan?

He played college football at Arizona State University and was with the Arizona Cardinals when he left a big salary and joined the Army.

5. Yes it is,and it was profound, The doggedness of his mother to
get at the truth was impressive. The doggedness of the military and defense department to conceal the truth was appalling. A wonderful documentary.

6. I read the Krakauer book this summer and loved it.
I'm really angry that the movie isn't playing here. Don't know if it will ever be here.

7. I'll have to get the book. The movie is only at one small theater
around Boston. Maybe it's available for renting.

I believe they were afraid Tillman was going to come back and become what John Kerry was for his generation of disenchanted war veterans. I will see this film.

10. I don't believe they were thinking that far ahead
They wanted Tillman to be the football player/war hero of the Iraq War. The Audie Murphy of his generation. And when he died, they had to make it look like a heroic death. But it wasn't and thanks to Tillman's family, their plan was a bust.
