Reuters poll: "Republicans likely to take House"....more of the same nonsense...
I wonder how this relates to the huge amount of money the Right is spending now...

They must have received a big chunk of money from Rove or the COC...or both.

1. Well, according to their polls
Our fellow citizens believe Republicans are better able to handle the economy. I want to cry.

2. Don't feel so bad - this poll is contradicted by many others, and I believe
it is complete fabrication and lies paid for by GOP supporters from who knows where.

Many polls show Democrats closing or overtaking republican candidates...I think Obama's speaking tour is having a good effect, and the GOP is its own worst enemy.

4. Wish I Could Put My Head In The Sand
Nothing would make me happier than to see Nate Silver rolled up in fetal position on election night wondering what just hit him,. I have too much respect for his past work to dismiss his reports and predictions (even if he's now affiliated with that fascist New York Times :sarcasm:) as well as other sources I've respected in the past along with my own canvassing over the past couple months in areas that went Democratic in '06 & '08 and aren't looking so hot this year.

Sadly we have an electorate that is very restless and scared. Many are out of work and those that are fortunate to have a steady income have seen prices soar in recent years making it tougher to stay above water. Unfortunately the Democrats have failed to convince voters that they have solutions or sold their programs. I was long concerned that Democrats won despite rushpublicans rather than educating and selling people on what the party stands for (whatever that is this week). In a world where perceptions mean more than substance, the Democrats have come off weak in a time of uncertainty and the GOTB has played their fear cards well...the obstructionism has worked and the voters are about to give them the keys to resume the plundering of the treasury and the destruction of the working classes.

It's frustrating as all hell and we can cast blame in many directions but the ugly truth is we could face a very rough two years ahead...and if this is what the voters want, they deserve the consequences. May the rest of us be able to hold together...ready to pick up the pieces (whatever can be salvaged) again.

Cheers...

7. Nate Silver isnt infallible
We haven't lost the house yet. In the end, whether or not we lose the house will come down to the outcomes in 20 or so key toss-up races. Many of the professional pollsters are being extremely bullish on democratic incumbents who haven't been polling as high as they normally do and rating these races as toss-ups when they are most likely lean-D. The real size of the playing field is smaller than the pundits are trying to make it seem. We are going to lose a lot of seats, but the republicans have played up how well their candidates are doing in some races and I suspect that we will see a lot of dem victories by 4 points or so that in reality were never really that much at risk.

10. Most of them have not so far...I'm guessing this did not, either...
I think it's just propaganda bullshit, bought and paid for by the Right.

9. John Stewart stated the same on Wednesday.

Interviewing Cantor "Republicans will take control of the house, no one is disputing that".

Whatever - GOTV is what wins the day.

11. Please recall all the nonsense the MSM played up as serious business
before the '08 election...they were acting as if the polls they liked were infallible and the polls that said Dems would win were "tainted" by using all sorts of theories and ridiculous claims. After their people lost and they were proved wrong, they acted like they knew it would happen all along...It's the MSM - it's bullshit.
