Welfare Staters against the welfare state
The Admins need to make a "dripping irony" tag for stuff like this.

Not only do we have people on a government-run pension plan (Social Security) with government-run health insurance (Medicare) frantically against "socialism", but it seems that lots of people in welfare states are bitching against... the welfare state.

I would love to see a Constitutional amendment passed that would say that no state can get more than $1.10 from the federal treasury for every dollar it contributes to the treasury, and that no state can get less than 90¢ from the federal treasure for every dollar it contribues to the treasury. Social Security payments, federal employee pensions, highway dollars, student loans, military spending, police grants, Medicare/Medicaid dollars, school grants, federal employee salaries... ALL federal spending.

Do you think any of the Teabaggers in the right-column states would agree to that in the spirit of fiscal responsiblity?

1. Very little fills me with rage anymore -- but this chart always does.

2. I wish some Democrats would bring up the amendment idea during a debate
That would be... amusing

5. They're hopelessly misinformed. They think taxes are 3x higher than they actually are
I recently found an article I had printed out from last March to show to my RW boss. People at a Tea Party rally were interviewed about things like percentages and such that families pay. They were off by a factor of 3 across the board.

Fuckin' clueless.
