Halloween Display on Tieton Upsetting Neighbors
Halloween Display on Tieton Upsetting Neighbors

There's just two weeks until Halloween, and decorations are appearing on front porches and doors. But, where is the line between scary and going overboard?

You've seen ghosts on trees, and posters on doors, but many people called KAPP/KVEW to tell us they were bothered to see the Halloween display on 26th Avenue and Tieton in Yakima.

The display shows dolls hanging from a tree, many covered in fake blood, and some are missing limbs.

Tina Anderson said, "I'd like to just take some scissors and cut them off, and I thought about it."

Justen Kessinger said, "every time I drive by I always have to look at them and it's not right."

1. Go Yakima! I used to live in that gang-infested town

I grew up in bedroom community Selah. Great trick or treating there in the 1960's!
Yakima is the place to go trick-or-treating, we'd get hundreds of kids on halloween.

Thanks for the post on my hometown.

huge purple spider. hubby made a coffin and skeleton hanging in it. ghosts in trees. jack a laterns up the steps on each side. tombstones in yard. kids gather old clothers and stuff and us skeleton bones. fake blood everywhere. a grave yard going. decoration in and out. and

a fogger. we push the button and scare the shit out of everyone...

we have to chase after the little kids to get them candy

our house is the favorite not only on the block, or neighborhood, but the adjoining neigborhood... newspaper has been out to take a picture.

hubby didnt get to do any of that when he was a kid. every holiday has to be a big deal. he grows his own pumpkins and gives so many away....

this house is nothing.

one year oldest threw a hangin rope around a limb, pretended it was around neck (i said NO to neck) had blood and tilted head, on knees, tongue out and flashlight spotlighting him.

only time we see our neighbors. they come over and sit and chat....

5. A Halloween display with a noose got my attention today...
It was the figure of a person wearing black and white stripped prison-type garb. The oversized head was that of a pumpkin. There was a noose around the neck and it was hanging from a tree.

We live in TN and I'm still not sure what to make of this.
