The Senate Polling Dump - 10/20/10

Not a whole lot we didn't already know today (except West Virginia, which I'll post about separately)...

Ohio, Arkansas and Florida are Republican blowouts (and yes, I'm putting Florida in this category. Charlie Crist is as far behind Marco Rubio as Blanche Lincoln is behind John Boozman, and it's now 47 straight polls where Kendrick Meek has failed to reach 25%.)

Missouri is closer, but not quite yet a tossup.

California and Illinois are close now, have been close, and will stay close all the way up to election day. Turnout's going to be the key in both states.

2. Saw that...

Was kind of hoping that some of the closing in the gubernatorial race would leak over into the Senate race, but Fisher's just a bad candidate in a bad year for Democrats. Strickland's a better politician, and the local AFL-CIO seems to be making some headway for him, but at this point, their efforts are better put to use in the governor's race than the Senate one.
