Nice.

Some of my kids at school gave me hugs when they saw my purple scarf and shoes.

We had quite a few students wearing purple today.

37. Hillary is a terrific person.
She should have been president. She has the skills, knowledge and experience to handle the job. I'm still hoping that she changes her mind and gives it another shot.

19. Wore a purple dress
And when I came home and changed, I put on a purple t-shirt.

I was bullied when I was a kid, because I was fat. I also considered suicide, but was basically too chicken to do it.

Maybe you didn't hear that she co-opted "it gets better" in her speech today without attributing it to anyone.

You seemed pretty upset when Valarie Jarret did that. I'm sure you'll be mad at Hillary for doing the same thing since it's about issues and not personalities. Right?

Edited on Wed Oct-20-10 11:35 PM by girl_interrupted
a "lifestyle choice". We hear so much of that from the republican side. Like it's a "choice", instead of who they really are. That they should feel guilty. So why be mad? I watched her youtube clip, and I hope it gives hope to a lot kids who are contemplating suicide, that "Tomorrow Will Be Better", for them. What's been going on lately is beyond troubling. A lot of celebrities are now joining the "It Gets Better" Campaign and making videos of their own. I really hope the message gets out there, to the ones that need it most, and as quickly as possible. These kids need as much love and support, as we can give them.

RIP Tyler Clementi, you will be missed.

I wore a brown sweater with a purple scarf. It's a kind of unusual combination, but I wanted people to know I wasn't wearing purple for a purpose.

Edited on Fri Oct-22-10 05:45 PM by ClarkUSA
Thus, President Obama and Barbara Boxer is as deserving of accolades as Hillary for wearing purple. To say anything else smacks of hypocrisy. Of course, Hillary, like President Obama, is still against gay marriage.
