GOP candidate stood by while a 14 year old girl was sexually assaulted and then covered it up.
Yet another crime from the political wing of the Tea Party Terrorists.

A Republican candidate in Massachusetts has been accused of allowing a fourteen-year-old girl to be illegally strip searched by a police officer while serving as a police sergeant, according to the Boston Globe.

The victim says Jeffrey D. Perry, who is serving his fourth term as a State Representative and running for Massachusetts' 10th Congressional District, was nearby when the illegal strip search happened, failed stop the abuse, and then tried to cover up the incident afterward.

"Without any warning or notice to the victim, the defendant then put his hand down the front of her jeans inside her underwear feeling that area of her body," prosecutors said in outlining the charges against Flanagan.

3. more on Perry's sordid past
But reading Perry’s statement yesterday you’d think he was on Mars, not 15 to 20 feet away, when Flanagan told a weeping girl to take off her clothes, then shone a flashlight on her half-naked body.

It’s typical of Perry’s spin in the race for the 10th congressional seat.

Two days ago his campaign claimed an ad about this incident was “inaccurate.” Brutal? Yes. It described how Flanagan “stuck his hand down a 14-year-old girl’s panties.” Inaccurate? No.

In recent days he’s been asked about untruths in his 2007 bar application. He wrote that one of the teens (two were sexually attacked by Flanagan) had been arrested. She wasn’t. He said he conducted the initial investigation of the second teen’s case. He didn’t. He said he was dismissed from both girls’ successful lawsuits. He was deposed in both and dismissed from one, said Howard Friedman, the lawyer who won them. “In the second case he was part of the cover-up. He remained in the Allen case until it was settled,” said Friedman.

5. There is a reason he resigned after this.
He may not have been charged but he was at least guilty of absolute negligence if not outright corruption.

That said, the ad is very troubling and it comes off as a little creepy on the part of the Dems.

4. You should hear the local pundits in the 10th - "This is old news."
It's disgusting. It may be old news if you were a local when it happened - I was a child when this happened. I had no idea the level of scum this guy is.

7. What's with the crazies in MA this cycle?
Tim Cahill's ads make me seriously question his sanity. (An ad about not throwing away the end of a tomato? Really?)
