1. Just had an argument with my "moderate" husband
He disagrees with Mr. Williams being fired. His argument is that he was actually appearing on Fox news to defend building the Mosque (sp?) in New York. My argument is that you cannot appear on national television and make a statement essentially justifying bigotry without qualifying the statement by acknowledging that the problem lies with you being afraid of something unfamiliar, not the cause of your fear, which in this case, is people who happen to be of the Muslim faith. I asked if it would be ok if one of the women on The View stated that she was fearful to ride public transportation if there were African American men on the train with her. He wouldn't answer.
Public figures have a responsibility to keep their predjudices to themselves. Don't go on national television and feed people's fears - that's the Government's job.
Mr. Williams might be very intelligent, and very good at what he does, but, in my opinion, he did a very irresponsible thing, and should have known better.

2. I agree with you. I think Juan Williams thinks his fears justify his words
He has shown himself to be a fear based person who thinks it's OK to paint all Muslims with a broad terrorist brush based solely on their appearance. I wonder how he feels about the fears the teabaggers have of anyone who doesn't look just like them. They feel their fears are justification enough too.

7. Remember Juan Williams defending Clarence Thomas?
Despite how's he's packaged at Faux News, he's nowhere near a real liberal. Fuck him is right and good riddance is right.

8. When I was working in manufacturing, one of my bosses jumped to a compatitor
as soon as the plant manager heard, the plant manager, accompanied by two policemen and two other top managers, went to my bosses office and cleaned out his desk and had him removed from the property.
That is what they should have done with Williams, Liasson and Roberts long ago.

9. Juan Williams was always just a journalistic hack and presstitute toady.
I wouldn't be surprised if he had a deal to move over to Fox anyway.

11. He been mugging for False News for too long
he might as well make it official. NPR should've gotten rid of that hack years ago.

12. couldnt have put it better
Fuck Juan Williams. Just 40 or 50 years ago African Americans were persevering through the civil rights
movement and segregation. Now he wants to talk about how "frightened" he is to ride aboard a plane with people
of another cultural/religious background as if he or his people never went through such struggles and negativity.
Now Juan is trying to repeat that segregated history, except this time well just throw the muslims under the bus. Juan needs
to stop projecting his insecurities on to other people and quit acting like an oreo because Juan as much as you hate to hear
this YOU ARE NOT WHITE.
