Blast in Ankara, Turkey: 4 Killed, 56 Hurt! Bomb or Explosion!
(CNN had this on at noon but were interviewing Sy Hersh. I wonder if he thought this blast was due to what Bush is doing to fund terrorist Sunni groups linked to alQaeda ? I was surprised to see him on CNN's noon international edition. I only caught the last bit and so didn't hear what he was saying)

Mayor: 4 killed, 56 hurt in Turkey blast
Story Highlights
• Ankara mayor says 4 people killed, 56 injured following blast
• An explosion rocks historic neighborhood in Turkish capital Ankara Tuesday
• Reports say several people wounded outside the 7-story shopping center
• Initially police said blast was accident; now believed to be a bomb

ANKARA, Turkey (CNN) -- Four people died and 56 were injured in an explosion in the Turkish capital of Ankara, Mayor Melih Gokchek told CNN Turk.

Police believe the most likely cause of the "major" explosion in the middle of a shopping district Tuesday was a bomb.

Ankara's governor, Kamal Onal, initially said the blast appeared to be an accident, but later said it could have been a bomb.

Police sources are telling CNN Turk that the explosion happened in a bus station in the middle of the Ulus shopping district in Ankara.

CNN Turk reported that the explosion occurred at the entrance of a building described as a seven-story shopping center. It occurred during the rush hour and when the area was packed with people.

News video showed bloody, injured people, some being carried on to stretchers. Body parts were seen by witnesses.

Ambulances were at the scene, and debris was strewn. Windows were knocked out of the building.

Investigators were searching the debris for clues.

The area is known for its tourist sites and bazaars.

Journalist Gokhan Eron told CNN from the scene that there were "numerous wounded on the ground." He had also seen what he believed were dead bodies outside the shopping center.

1. No one will convince me that what bush has done in the ME
isn't causing ALL the unrest. He should be real proud.
