Republicans wish to destroy Sarah Palin?

As Sarah has felt the need to come out and re-affirm her support for her candidate, Joe Miller in the US Senate race in Alaska, Karl Rove and others have let it be known they do not think she is ready for prime time. Sarah is like a turd in their punch bowl.

She is too popular in Republican circles and could do great damage to their presidential campaign aims. Those aims do not include Sarah Palin so she has to be torn down or destroyed before the next election. She is a loose cannon. She could actually run as a Third Party if they don't handle it correctly. This is a dilemma waiting to happen.

Karl Rove wants another Bush in the office. He is working behind the scenes for Jeb. Those are his Texas roots and connections. He recently criticized Palin while doing an interview overseas. The Republican establishment is very concerned about Sarah Palin. She must be destroyed.

2. Sarah did a real nice job of creating chaos in the Alaska Republican Party
and she was just getting warmed up. If John McCain had done any vetting at all, he would have known that she was poison as far as party unity is concerned.

3. I think Sarah Palin is making lots of enemies in the Republican party and it will bite her.
Personally I'm enjoying it. I think this last stunt with the Joe Miller tape will be her undoing.

28. She's got a solid 22% behind her already. That's as good as any candidate has for a primary.
She needs someone who can work the PR spin for another 10% (easily hired message masters, and she now has the bucks to hire the best PR people) and she'll be the nominee for the Rethugs. Unfortunately the economy isn't going to recover enough even by 2012, and she will harness the growing economic rage amongst those predisposed to listen (at least 10% if not more) who aren't working and listening to the Faux News chat all day.

She's very, very dangerous imho. Her base is so solid she doesn't even have to pander to them at all, ever again. They love her blindly, just like GW Bush's 25%. She's building support in the states with her very shrewd support of teabagger Rethugs. Even if only a few of "her" candidates get in Congress, she can claim victory for a movement that's barely 2 years old. It's as "hugh" a start as anything I've ever seen.

4. She will split the GOP. Especially if some teabaggers win on
Tuesday...they'll feel empowered and want their own (non-mainstream GOP) candidate in 2012. If that happens, neither the baggers nor the GOP will be able to garner enough votes to win the Presidency.

The GOP strategists know this.

6. I hope it tears the party into shreds while they're at it
I hope they become a circular firing squad and that chaos ensues for the Republican party and that what emerges looks nothing like it does today.

8. Her endorsements and help for the teabagger candidates all across the country is
building a lot of credit that they will pay back when she runs. Even if they all don't win this week they will owe her and she will have support ready to go in 2012. (Make that 2011). She already has the media on her side.

13. One thing I cannot stand is people who gush over a politician they want to fuck.
While I realize there is not much difference between a whore and a politician, a person should vote for a person based on their ideas and ability for the office for which they are running.

17. This is true, but
She doesn't realize that Rove is just as dirty a player, if not more so, than she is, and making and enemy of Rove is not going to be a good thing for her "plans"! I would not be a bit surprised to find out Rove has dug up some "dirt" on her to use against her if she should decide to run. Levy said he could take her down in a minute if he wanted to, and if he really does have something on her, you can bet Rove will get it out of him. Money talks and Rove has the connections to get the money if he needs it!

As far as the media, well if Fox dumps on her she would have to find other sources to get out her message, and we all know that if she actually has to go the MSM, answer questions that aren't provide for her before the interview, and questions she has to OK ahead of time, it won't go well for her! If she gets Rove pissed off enough, I think she will lose favor with Fox, and if that happens she is done!

21. OH no CNN is probably prancing up and down and using up
all their diapers hoping to get the chance to have her on their site. They now hang on her every word and sweat drop. What do you think they would do if fox dropped her.

23. IMO, the MSM will see her as a huge favorite because she will appeal to their dumbed-down
audiences. Her wacko statements and ideas will give them the entertainment factor that they want and they will carry her through to the primaries.

In their primaries (and the GE if she wins their nomination), she will easily carry the red states especially those with a lot of the religious right. Bush is the only one who can challenge her now. If Rove brings in Bush as you mentioned, she will be in for a fight.

11. Well...
She already has "warned" the party that if they don't man up and start supporting the teabagger candidates it will be their downfall, and she said if they don't listen to her that will be it for the party! I really think she has a plan to try and "take over" the party with her teabagger followers. She has jumped on the tea party express for one reason, and that's to get her way in the party. I think she will cause one hell of a fight within the party, and there are a lot of mainstream republicans that don't like her and won't support her. Rove is already in her sites, and I say let the two of them go at it, and then watch the party get destroyed! Palin doesn't care what kind of damage she does as long as she will make millions in the process!

15. "...as long as she makes millions in the process"
Very true.

And that is why FOX or another Republican operative could pay her big bucks or her own TV show to drop out of the race in 2012. That would be a possibility.

26. Yep, well said! IMO Palin is in it for Palin. She doesn't give a F about the
republican party or the teabaggers, it's all about her and only her. It's written all over her, so to say, well, at least her palms.

They created her, and matched her up with John McCain, now she's run lose. Caused havoc. Now she has turned on her own creators. Now the Republicans think its time for fire and pitchforks?

18. The Republicans CAN'T destroy Palin easily. They created her, they're stuck with her.
But she's not content with crumbs, she wants the whole pie, and she'll destroy the entire GOP if that's what it takes for her to get it. She's much more dangerous to the GOP than any Dem out there.

22. It all boils down to money
Palin has been used by the GOP & TPTB because it's been good for them.

I think it started out that TPTB thought they could control Palin if she were elected as VP. But they found out that she's an unpredictable DIVA & will undermine them.

So, that didn't work out.

She's now queen of the Teabags only because TPTB have paid hefty money in promoting the Teabags in the media, buses, functions, conventions, etc.

Once that money dries up, she'll be hard pressed to garner much of any campaign because she won't be able to fund it. The little bit of money that comes in from the base won't be enough.

If any of the Teabag candidates get elected this Tuesday, the base, as small as it is, will be ticked off when they find that their newly elected will be absorbed by the GOP and 'forget' their Teabag promises made to the base.

I predict Palin will eventually be ignored, and her limelight will disappear, or TPTB may be nice & buy her off with an even a better gig than she already has with Fox. They may figure she might be useful for another election cycle as a cheerleader against the liberals.

I suppose how it ends will depend upon her ego. I think she & Todd bought into her self-aggrandizing power.
