Bill Clinton rallies for Dems in NH, "smoke and mirrors" from Republicans

Former President Bill Clinton warns voters of what he calls "smoke and mirrors" from Republicans.

Clinton joined New Hampshire Gov. John Lynch at a get-out-the-vote rally Sunday at Nashua Community College. Lynch is seeking a fourth term.

Clinton told several hundred supporters that Republicans have ignored the deficit and mismanaged the federal budget. He said Democrats have been good stewards of changes on Wall Street, access to health care and the economic recovery.

The former president called Lynch's Republican rival, John Stephen, a longtime bureaucrat who lacked the governor's business expertise. Clinton also praised Ann McLane Kuster, a Democrat running for New Hampshire's 2nd Congressional District against Republican Charlie Bass.
