"Republicans will lose seats in the House and Senate."
Not even whispered.

Even though it is logical.

We will, no matter what, lose the seats in Arkansas, North Dakota, and Indiana. We haven't a prayer of holding them. We have no hope of picking off even one GOP seat (KY was our last remaining shot and it is now out of reach). We have at least 10 similarly lost seats in the HOuse.

20. I don't think it's his attitude
It's just the reality of things. We can get real lucky, but even with massive luck it's mathematically impossible to even break even. There are 41 Republicans in the Senate right now. It's just illogical to believe there will be 40 or less come January when the new Senate is sworn in.

We might get rid of the prick in the Governor's office at the same time, too.

17. It's logical if you consider the very real possibility that...
All those poll numbers you, me and and the msm fixate on as reality are inherantly flawed in ther polling methodology. I've seen the results of a few polls that changed there methods by, for instance, polling more cell phones. What happens? Voila! Dem candidate suddenly jumps up several points.

So, no, the point made by the OP is not illogical.

Better chance of winning the lottery. I mean, I guess 0.0000000000000001% still is a chance, so I guess it's possible.

30. Even if we somehow gain seats in the House we'll still net lose at least one Senate seat
I think it won't be bad as is made out but I don't see the states lining up this go around to maintain or add.

The math is too daunting in the earlier mentioned N Dakota, Arkansas, and Indiana to get two out of three, much less sweep them so then you're telling me McCain or somebody is going to lose. Even if we pick up Kentucky and Alaska.

I guess it is possible but highly improbable that we could tread water. Be of good cheer though the same calculation and conditions that make an increase all but impossible have a nearly equal effect on the possibility of losing the Senate. Picking up 10 is a giant hill to climb.
Picking up some when imploding in dearly held red seats while having to pick up red seats is a little taller but thankfully not by much.
