MSNBC is screwing up.
They showed KO's comment on the tea party, then a brand new Maddow show. Now it's Lawrence O'Donnell, and it's current. Now that we know they CAN show up on the weekend they have no damn excuse for going back to that prison crap (I hope).

1. I literally dont understand it
How is anyone supposed to take them seriously as a news network when they basically dont have weekend programming? Are they lazy, does it cost too much, or do they actually think people care about that prison crap?

3. Don't hold your breath
It's just election weekend. Afterward, they'll go back to 'Lockup: Badder and Rawer than Ever!' :)

7. Not a fan of prison porn re-runs, I take it?
LOL

Rachel/Keith and all deserve a weekend too, but I agree with you - the Lockup obsession is off the rails.

8. Agreed. I'd prefer to see highlights of the weeknight lineup, or a documentary on the weekends
vs. lockup or shows about pedophiles. ACK!

11. Their viewership totals would certainly be higher if they did news on the weekends...
... especially considering the fact that the "Lock up" or whatever they have on the weekends seems to be limited to very few "episodes" that they re-air with torturous repetitiveness. I usually have MSNBC on in the background, and the weekends are vile.

Matthews increasingly drives me nuts - but that's just me. Why his show airs twice within 3 hours Matthews/Ed/Matthews repeat is also a huge mistake. His "aw-shucks" sort of working-class-kid categorizations about people or groups and his presumptions based on these imaginations are grating (to me), as does his infuriating inability to let people speak for themselves when answering him without interruption (reasonably). Does no one tell him many people really seem to dislike it?? ..(at least according to how often I read such comments about it).

Its only a matter of time, but MSNBC needs to give Cenk his own show.... yesteday using, perhaps Ratigan's spot and (it they *must*) repeat CENK instead of CM.

f they went crazy and actually did real news on weekend evenings, too... now, THAT would be sweet.

Can't figure it out - are they so strapped for funds/profits that they have to do so many repeats? Even an hour of "straight" news for an hour in the evening instead of the full line of talk/opinion journalism would be refreshing.

Note: There are times when Matthews and Ratigan are fleetingly brilliant - but often enough for me.... : ) Have to give both some credit as it is rightfully due, however...
