PPP and now even Rasmussen have Joe Manchin ahead
PPP has Manchin +5:

And Rassmussen has Manchin +4:

While I am not looking forward to Manchin being the deciding vote, a win by him would ensure we keep the Senate (assuming Lieberman doesn't switch).

1. Lieberman won't switch
If Joe is the only guy deciding control of the Senate, look for the Democrats to offer him the whole store. Every week, the majority leader will publicly kiss Joe's ass in the well of the Senate chamber. Joe will be the most powerful senator in Washington. He will dictate policy.

2. If you think that's because Lieberman is a DINO,
Wait till you get a load of this other Joe.

3. Understand your point about the other Joe
Joe Lieberman is a reliable Dem vote in certain domestic areas and in foreign policy and banking/insurance he may well vote on the other side.

If the control of the Senate comes down to Joe making fifty and Biden the decider, be prepared to open the "political capital checkbook" for Joe. The other DINOs, no matter how conservative, are reliable votes for a Dem majority in organizing the Senate. Joe Lieberman, you will have to buy (or at least rent).

4. Amen, Brother.
Right now I'm just hoping we can retain a majority in the Senate so that we can control the agenda. Then we can lock things up tighter than bark on a log if Senate Democrats ever start to realize what fools they have been to try to work with Congressional Republicans.
