Jon Stewart Gives Back To D.C.
A few days old, but I thought this was nice.

While rallying for sanity, Jon Stewart rallies funds for National Mall
03:24 PM

Jon Stewart may be rallying folks to "restore sanity" this Saturday, Oct. 30, in Washington, D.C., but he's also been rallying Daily Show viewers for a separate cause -- The Trust for the National Mall.

Selected as the official non-profit of the upcoming "Rally to Restore Sanity," the Trust for the National Mall has raised $106,986.50 since Stewart's Oct. 6th announcement that the Trust had been selected.

"In just three short weeks thousands of people from all 50 states and Canada have helped contribute to the restoration and improvement of our National Mall. We are extremely grateful for the support of Jon Stewart and people across the country in helping us preserve this beautiful space for generations to come," said Caroline Cunningham, President of the Trust for the National Mall, in a news release.

The Trust, whose mission is to make the National Mall the best park in the world, will have a tent set up at the rally at 7th Street and Jefferson Drive where folks can get more information, sign up for the Trust's young benefactors program and learn how to contribute.

To learn more about the partnership or to support the cause, visit www.rallytorestoresanity.com, or the Trust's website, www.nationalmall.org.
