1. From the red-baiting to the "can't we all just get along" -

we find that Stewart delivers a very status quo message. Of course that is to be expected from someone who is now a millionaire (perhaps multi-millionaire). This event ended up being all about GOTV, and if you like what Obama's done so far then you probably liked the rally.

5. I'm not sure exactly who Robert Gibbs was targeting as

the professional left. Stewart's speech certainly was anti-leftist as I understand the term (pro-labor). The event struck me as a GOTV, status quo kind of event in support of the current president. Probably harsher towards the extreme right (they are easy to make fun of), but I can't help but notice the anti-left sentiment as well.

can it possibly be that people are agreeing or disagreeing with stewart and discussing it.

this is kinda the contradiction that stewart made. only option... whatever is said agree, ergo compromise or if the left dare challenge a comment they are "throwing under the bus". are those really our only two options LZ.
