Headline at CNN: "Sanity restored? Or just a comic stunt?"
That's the way the article is headlined on their main page. Who knew there were only two ways to think about the Rally to Restore Sanity And/Or Fear? Either Stewart and Colbert restored sanity to the world or they were just doing a comic stunt. My congratulations to CNN for boiling it all down so succinctly and objectively.

Then, if you click the link, you get an article headlined with "Did Stewart restore sanity? Or just have a comedic success?"

I'm not providing a link. If people click the link, they'll think the headline "worked."

6. Who cares what CNN says? I'm sure the rally had an impact.
I loved the callers to C-span after the rally, esp those from people whom the rally motivated to vote

8. Thinking, informed people don't care what CNN says, but
there are many who watch CNN, who are not well informed and believe everything CNN says...just because it's CNN.
That's the problem.

11. Except, of course, those who believe CNN is under the control of
shadowy liberal elites who want to turn America into a socialist nightmare.

MY problem is with people who think that CNN epitomizes the "left wing media".

10. How do you expect us to determine if CNN was "objective"
Edited on Mon Nov-01-10 01:19 PM by rocktivity
if no one reads it?

Speaking of objectivity, I am shocked--SHOCKED!--that the article says nothing of Stewart's virtually singlehanded shutting down of CNN's Crossfire show, or that some of the clips played at the rally were theirs. But might explain their strategy of pulling in opinions from other blogs and avoiding offering one of their own:

But then again, perhaps the media might not be the right people to ask about how the rally went. At least that's likely what Stewart would say himself. After all, the rally began with a fiery criticism of the media for creating and nurturing of extreme political views.

And it included an equally fiery criticism of the national media that help market rather than report on them. Way to cop out, CNN.

16. What was CNN's fawning headline for Beck's stunt? You remember, the one the Koch brothers paid for
along with some of their other fascist cronies.

17. Did they ask that of the Restoring Honor rally?
Maybe they didn't get the chance as less than 24 hours after that rally both Beck and Palin were proving that they weren't going to practice what they preached.
