Do you believe that Cannabis; (Marijuana) should be legalized for adults?

It is time to end this ridiculous, racist and violent War on Cannabis users.

Though admittedly, I'm biased. My Dad invented the stuff.

I doubt I'd touch the stuff myself, but the punishment doesn't reflect the "crime" in any way. I find lots of "conservative" people starting to think the same thing too. Marijuana isn't the kind of thing we should be having shoot outs with dangerous drug runners over, or spending a fortune locking up otherwise law abiding citizens over. It's just not practical, and I think a lot of people are really starting to see it as a waste of resources. There's a homeless guy nearby whose life was essentially ruined by these unfair laws. He's a pretty intelligent college graduate, but got locked up for drug trafficking after being stopped for some routine violation after crossing state lines. Spent a year or two in prison, lost his job, home, etc. Can't get a decent job and stay ahead since no one wants to hire a convicted felon.

I totally agree, in fact I believe the out-sized punishment is a contributing cause to the number of homeless people on the street.

How could it not be?

If you take hundreds of thousands of American citizens; many of whom are primary breadwinners for their families and throw them in prison; for non-violent possession of cannabis, this must be a devastating financial blow to their families; putting them more at risk.

By report Clean Ecstasy is not bad; heroin (in a medically supervised situation) is supposedly well tolerated as is opium. Cocaine, might be a candidate for legalisation in Mate (cocoa leaf tea).

I have not used pot for years (15) and would advise against smoking it because is just leads you into the bad stuff like tobacco (6 years clean!) but there are many options. If it were legal then -

1) In a chocolate drink made with milk, make sure the amount you want to take is infused, use a herb infuser rather than a tea infuser;

2) As a herb on oily foods, eg braised (= UK Grilled) or baked lamb chops um-mm;

3) Vapouriser and I do wonder about e-cigarettes;

NOT Recommended

4) Space cakes and brownies - but kids and abhorrent maiden aunts can too easily get hold of them;

5) Dissolve in vodka then add about 2-3 shot glass full to a bottle of mediocre wine, this will make a retsina (cloudy, fortified wine) - but bad because mixing intoxicants is always bad.

Also remember that those companies with strong anti intoxication policies will still test and it can take weeks for residues to leave your body.

No doubt CCOA and Liquor lobby are against any legalization of MJ.

that's puts the American People behind bars.

Simple logic, the more prisoners, the more profit.

With the growth in that industry's; wealth so will their ability to lobby/bribe politicians to do their bidding, the long term result of that dynamic will be an exceptionally draconian nation.

I believe incarceration; should not have a profit motive and if anything should be outlawed it would be the for profit prison industry.

I don't smoke it, but there's no reason to keep up the insane prohibition.
