Longtime Republican strategy: pretend the election is a lock. News outlets buy into it and assist in creating a future that hasn't happened yet. We can only hope that the Republicans are so cocky they decide to stay home because they believe the bullshit that they'll win anyway.

Really pisses me off, this crap. Witness the devastation that resulted in the 2000 Presidential election when the Republicans used the same strategy.

I think there are going to be a number of races that will be close. The teaparty "polling place watch" which constitutes nothing less than voter intimidation combined with this legal strategy means they are out for a scorched earth approach to these elections. Be afraid, be very afraid.
