Did you or are you going to vote tomorrow?
Change your avatar to "I Voted" if you already did. If you're voting tomorrow, do it tomorrow, though by 6pm or so, this site will be so swamped that avatars may be turned off but it's neat to see the sea of "I Voted" avatars after all the rancor.

4. Ugh!
I didn't notice that I posted after midnight. I'm a nightshifter. I stay up all night. Okay, if you already voted or are voting today, change your avatar. Be a part of a long tradition here at DU.

10. Thanks for being a good sport.
I couldn't resist the smartass remark. Don't worry, you'll get a shot at me sooner or later. I make mistakes like that, and worse, all the time.

17. I voted
last week, for all the good it did.

Many of the races here only had a single Republican candidate running. Yes, that's how bad it is in Nebraska.

I didn't mark any boxes for Republicans. It's maybe the first time I've ever voted a straight Democratic ticket. I am so mad at the way things are going that I couldn't bear to put an X in a box next to a Republican candidate, even if he/she was the only choice.

20. I wrote my dog in for an unopposed Judge
I think my dog is a fine judge of character. His name even sounds Judge like - Olympic Baron. Of course, we call him Ollie or goofus. He is a black standard poodle and would look just astoundingly fine in a black robe and with his cataracts, he's nearly blind, perfect for blind justice. I don't think he's going to win but I hate unopposed races!

19. Unfortunately I think your question is last o DU. I'd bet that
99% of DUERS will vote! I'd love to see the same question asked by the cable news networks & the MSM networks and see just what those results would be.

23. I will vote
How much it will help is undetermined. I live in the 7th district of Alabama, where Terri Sewell is virtually guaranteed to become Alabama's first African-American female congressional representative. And I'll vote for Ron Sparks for governor, with a slim hope that he can upset the republican. And I will vote to send Richard Shelby home, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

28. I woke up before 5:00 am because I can't wait to vote.
Election day, for me, is like Christmas, my birthday, and the fourth of July combined. You bet your sweet ass I'm voting!

I am hoping the proposed Illinois Constitutional amendment fails; it seeks to create the potential for "recall" elections for our state's Governors. This means from now until whenever, the Governor of our state cannot work for the future or take political risks; he or she must focus strictly upon what is popular in the short term. It was a bad idea when they did it in California, and it will be a bad idea here.

And then there's Bill Brady, a tea-party clone who will likely become my state's next Governor. He wants to cut all state services, period. And of course a Senatorial race which is up in the air.

I never pass up an opportunity to vote. Never can be sure it won't be my last chance, these days.

But I did go and vote straight D ticket (there were no communist or socialist candidates on the ballot down here in South Texas).
