Unfortunately, a Gorgon will probably be our next governor in this state. May your sympathy be with us, she's horrible.

I got my butt out and tried to prevent it. Now it's everybody else's turn.

Not to say people aren't voting elsewhere, it's just that this place had no lines at all.

If... and I have some reason to believe, IF... the Gorgon gets in office. Well, those who put the Gorgon there deserve the Gorgon.

I'll be doing my best to remind them they put the Gorgon in place by constantly asking if the "Jet" has been sold yet...

I really didn't give a shit. It's very sad, but it's the first time in a while that I could give a crap about voting. Oklahomans seem hell-bent on taking the state back to the 50s, the GOP candidate essentially said her best qualification was being a wife and mother, the state is full of racist fearmongering lunatics...sigh. Even the Democrats are terrible. I like my state senator, so I'll enjoy seeing him reelected against a nincompoop who accused Sparks (incumbent Dem) of being an Ivy League alum (this was a slam at him, in a college town no less). I enjoyed voting against all of these xenophobic referendums like English only laws and no Sharia laws. But I don't like the Democratic candidate for Governor, there basically is no Democratic challenger to Coburn and there WAS NO FUCKING DEMOCRAT with the guts to challenge Tom Cole. Disgraceful.

So, call me uninspired.

I mentioned this in another thread, but it looked like every kid in town turned up to vote. There were handful of teabaggers, but they weren't getting any attention - in fact, I saw two people accept their lit and then throw it in the trash.

I WAS going to take a week-long sabbatical from political news, but I feel really good right now.

Aren't there a lot of anti-WOOHOO voters out there?
