Rand Paul is the dumbest fucking senate candidate I have ever seen
Not one clue as to what he would actually do to change this country for the better if he was elected. He just wants to be elected because he thinks of politics as a game. If he wins it's like a "W" in the win column for his team. The man wont even state what his damn agenda will be once in office, other than voting to filibuster every single piece of legislation in the Senate that is proposed by the Democrats in the House. I am so sick of seeing people run for office with no clue what the hell they would do once elected, other than just to run to run.

It used to be that people in this country would run for office because they had an actual vision of progressive change for the country or their community. Now these ass-hat rethugs just wont to win so they can derail every piece of promising legislation that would help people, because they view the other party in congress as their opponent. It's like a damn football game being played out on Capital Hill. All the fuck we ever seem to do as a congress is punt the ball to other side let them waste time with the ball, and then instead of going for the touchdown with good legislation, like what real Health care reform would have accomplished, we kick a field goal and settle for a small pittance of what we (as a nation) could have accomplished.

So frustrated right now.

12. I believe he's even worse than his father.
Ron Paul never had goons around him while campaigning. But they are both crazy dolts.

3. He just did issue his first objective! From TPM
Appearing just now on Your World With Neil Cavuto on Fox News, Senate candidate Rand Paul (R-KY) was asked about his policy ambitions if he is elected tonight, as is widely expected.

"I'm gonna set my sights fairly low," said Paul. "I just want the Balanced Budget Amendment passed in the first couple of months."

I guess his dumb supporters think thats a doable thing.

4. Actually...
He definitely has a vision as to what he wants to do after being elected. The problem is that if he were to tell people before the election, he would not get many votes. So instead he plays the 'obtuse' game.

17. Perhaps the OP should qualify his statement...
To: Rand Paul is the dumbest candidate that stands a chance of winning. And, as a resident of South Carolina, I'm not so sure that being "stupid" is Alvin Greene's issue.

Although Angle doesn't come across as smart. Joe Miller I must say knows how to talk and comes across as an intelligent extremist. Sadly, they exist.

14. It is very close
I am just more frustrated with Paul because I believe he has a better chance of stealing this election with his disgusting ad campaigns that he has run. And I view him as more of a threat to this country right now then O'Donnell, who I hope will be defeated. At least at the moment I feel more confident that she will go down in defeat tonight. I have less confidence of Paul being defeated. But I hope for the best.

8. Is he serious about reducing the deficit? I guess we will know by his vote on the Bush tax cuts.
I don't think he is dumb, but I think his focus is so narrow that he always comes to the WRONG CONCLUSIONS,

15. I don't think he's dumb..
.. he's libertarian. So hes basically completely ultra right, minus any religious garbage. Laissez-faire, anti-labor union, anti-taxes, anti-regulation, etc.. Basically he wants big businesses and rich people who are investing their money or inheriting grandmas estate to not have to pay taxes. Its a fair enough stance on things, not my stance, but I wouldn't say he's dumb by any means. The problem with being 'that guy' is that its got to be tough to get elected since 99% of people don't own a large corporation or are next of kin to a 3 million dollar estate, so he probably isn't so forthcoming with his policies. All you get is the normal right wing mantra of reduce deficits, create jobs, blah blah blah.. without actually saying what METHOD he will use to do that, and so he comes off as stupid, just like sharron angle, just like odonnell, just like any of the tea party candidates.

19. No I couldn't
It would be horrible. To me Paul is just as clueless as Palin. The only difference is that he does a better job hiding his true intentions and is a little more seasoned with his useless talking points than Palin. They are both equally as dangerous in my mind.

26. No, particularly since he's not even Board certified in his
'specialty', Ophthalmology. He just made up his own certification rather than taking the hellishly rigorous Board exams most specialists have to take. He's a fake from the get-go.
