I took my 19 year old goddaughter to vote for the first time today.
She voted straight Democratic, and so did I. So there were 2 votes for Russ Feingold and all the other Democrats listed on our ballots.

No DINOs on my ballot, but I would vote for one in a heartbeat if it would keep a Republican/Teabagger out of office. I'll take a candidate who votes 75% of the time with the Democratic Party as opposed to one that never does and is only obstructionist.

3. Yay!
Way to pass the voter torch, elocs! Well done!

How was the crowd?

Yeah, I'd vote for ANYONE over a TeaBagger/Pubbie.

4. YAY! I voted for one independent for county assessor. Otherwise straight Dem.
I wouldn't vote for a Republican if you paid me.

6. I printed off a sample ballot for her to keep to remember her first vote.
At first when I asked her about going to vote she said "no", then she called me right back and said she was going to vote straight Democratic.

After we got back she wanted to learn for herself what the real differences in philosophy between Democrats and Republicans was and we did find a good site which honestly explained the differences. Based on that she decided that she was more a Liberal than anything else. She is still proudly wearing her "I Voted" sticker.
