On escaping the state of Denial…
Edited on Tue Nov-02-10 09:39 PM by Ozymanithrax
We have argued for weeks that all the polls were wrong,
That cell phone users would come to our defense,
That internals in polls told a different story,
That likely voters were wrong,
That there was no enthusiasm gap,
Or that unenthusiastic voters would vote,
That the bought and sold media were lying.

Well, It appears that the polls were not to bad.
It appears that Republicans will win the House,
It appears that Democrats will hold the Senate.
It appears that the pollsters are vindicated,
And we were in a state of denial.

Tonight denial is not comfort,
It is a river as cold as Cocytus.
And we need to escape.
And find enthusiasm for 2012.
