Dear Green Party DUers:
Over the past year and a half, you have witnessed the energizing and unifying power of the so-called Tea Party movement within the Republican party. We can debate their funding sources, their sanity, and their staying power -- but one thing is for certain: they unified and electified a base around the most anti-government, reactionary viewpoint possible.

Politicians like Bob Bennett, Charlie Crist, Mike Castle, and Arlen Specter are unemployed because, thanks to the Tea Party, voters became convinced these Republicans were no better than Democrats. Lisa Murkowski may become another victim. Note - switching parties didn't save any of them that tried. You have run against the Democrats since 2000, and argued that we are no better than the GOP. I put to you that your time and energy would be better used becoming a force within the Democratic Party - The Green Tea Party, if you will. Join us in making the case to America for progressive policy that serves the common good.

1. Recommended. Greens have a lot of good ideas, I would love to see them influence the Dems. nt

2. Agreed. Note that if not for the Tea Party siphing votes, the Senate would have gone Republican.

4. They ran against Ned Lamont; it's futile.
They just like acting like asshats for attention. Give them shame and ostracization and they lose that incentive.
