Who should the Dems pick for House Minority Leader?
Edited on Wed Nov-03-10 01:23 AM by RiverStone
Since the pukes have no intention of compromise, we have to take our cause to The People. No ambiguity or bipartisan deal making. No bullshit - someone that has a spine and can create a strong collation to push back against the radical right. Who do you recommend?

3. Ha! I thought there was some Democratic party rule about keeping Progressives away from...
...anything important!

DeFazio is so incredible though and I'm glad he won against Robinson tonight!

11. A fighter with stones the size of cantelopes..
We are going to need a strong, vocal Leader to keep the Dems in line and stop them from voting with GOPers to kill us off.

12. if it's not Pelosi, it will be Steny Hoyer
Hoyer's probably the big winner out of all this. He becomes Minority Leader and the most likely Speaker of the House when the Dems retake the House.

13. I'm afraid you're right.
And of course, we (lefties) don't have a say in who leads the minority in the House, unfortunately. We would if we could demonstrate some power they can be afraid of, but last night's results didn't do much for our cause.
